Once that is done, you can require that users be logged in to view Course and Lesson content.

Course Enrollment Settings

Of course, whether a student can get access to a Course depends on many factors including if it costs money (and they have purchased it). Courses created with wpLEARNS for WooCommerce Sensei LMS Plugin can be any of the following…

Free Courses- Guests Can View Content
Without WooCommerce or another eCommerce solution enabled, all Courses will be ‘free’ to access. However, users cannot interact by taking quizzes or viewing progress, etc.

If “Access Permissions” is not enabled here: Sensei > Settings > ‘General’, even Guests to your site who are not logged in should be able to view Course and Lesson content.

Guests still being asked to ‘Register’? We’ve noticed even with “Access Permissions” unchecked, Guests are sometimes asked to register in order to access Course and Lesson Content. It seems you can override this at the Lesson level by enabling “Lesson Preview” for each lesson (see below).

Free Courses- Registered Users Can View Content
If “Access Permissions” is enabled here: Sensei > Settings > ‘General’, users will be prompted to register (and log in) before they can view free content.

Guests will see a ‘Register’ button on Course pages. They can click this button to register.

Remember: Sensei has no eCommerce solution built-in so by default all Courses and Lessons are ‘free.’
