wpLEARNS for WooCommerce Sensei LMS Plugin supports the following Quiz question formats:

  • True/False
  • Multiple Choice
  • Gap Fill
  • Single Line
  • Multi-Line
  • File Upload
  • ‘Existing’ Questions – Re-use a Question from your Question Bank

Question Description
For each question, you have the option to add an optional ‘description’ which will display to the student to provide additional information they may need to answer the question.

Question Media
Click “Add file” if you wish to add an image or other file media the student needs to answer the question.

Answer Feedback/ Recommended Answer
If your question is an open-ended one (such as a ‘single-line’ or ‘multi-line’ question), you’ll have the option to input a “Recommended Answer” to assist instructors in manually grading those questions.

For questions that can be graded automatically (like ‘multiple choice’), you have the option to provide ‘Answer Feedback’ in addition to checking the radio box next to the correct answer. ‘Answer Feedback’ will let you explain to students why the answer is the correct one.WooCommerce Sensei Quiz Documentation - Answer Feedback

Question Bank
By default, wpLEARNS for WooCommerce Sensei LMS Plugin adds all Questions you create to the ‘Question Bank.’ This lets you re-use questions in any number of Quizzes.

To see the Question Bank within a Quiz, go to the “Existing Questions” tab in the ‘Quiz Questions’ panel.WooCommerce Sensei Quiz Documentation - Settings Existing Questions

To add a new Question to the Question Bank outside the context of a Quiz…

  • Click “Add New”
  • Complete the fields provided for your Question (as you would within a Quiz)
  • Save by clicking “Save Draft” “Publish” or “Update”

Building Quizzes with
wpLEARNS for WooCommerce Sensei LMS Plugin

In Sensei, Quizzes are ‘Lessons’ with Quiz Questions.

To add a new Quiz…
Go to Lessons > Add New >WooCommerce Sensei Quiz Documentation - Add New Quiz

Add any Lesson Information that is appropriate.

See wpLEARNS Sensei Course Content Documentation for details on creating a Lesson.

You must SAVE your Lesson before you can add Quiz Questions. Do do that, click ‘Save Draft’ or ‘Publish’ as always. Once you have saved your lesson you will be able to add questions.

Quiz Questions
To make a Lesson a Quiz, add at least one Question from the ‘Quiz Questions’ panel.

Or, Choose an existing Question from the “Existing Questions” tab. To do this, check the box next to any questions from the Question Bank you want to add to your Quiz, then click “Add Selected Question(s)”WooCommerce Sensei Quiz Documentation - Add Selected Questions

Quiz Settings

You must add ‘Quiz Questions’ before Quiz Setting options will appear. After adding questions, Settings won’t appear till you’ve saved the Quiz by clicking “Safe Draft” “Update” or “Publish”. You can ignore all Quiz Settings if this Lesson is not a ‘Quiz’

Automatic Grading
The following types of Quiz Questions can be graded automatically: Multiple Choice, True/False and Gap Fill questions. However, you’ll need to enable automatic grading for the Quiz for these questions to be graded automatically. To do so…

  • Go to Lessons > All Lessons > [Lesson Title]> ‘Quiz Settings’
  • Check the box next to “Grade quiz automatically” to enable automatic grading for the Quiz.
