To configure settings for the Lifter WordPress LMS Plugin…

Go to LifterLMS > Settings in your WordPress Admin menu.

Go to LifterLMS > Settings > “General”

This is just a ‘dashboard’ of sorts. It offers a quick overview of statistics like…

  • Course Enrollments This Week
  • New Members This Week
  • Lessons Completed This Week
  • Total Sales This Week

Go to LifterLMS > Reporting for more advanced reporting.

Go to LifterLMS > Settings > “Catalogs”

Change the Page that should display your “Course Catalog” (optional).

Define how many ‘Courses per page’ should display on the Course Catalog page. To display all Courses, enter ‘-1’

Set ‘Catalog Sorting’ by choosing your preference from the dropdown.

Now, define all these settings for the “Memberships Catalog” as well!

Click “Save Changes” to save.

Go to LifterLMS > Settings > “Accounts”

Account Dashboard
Select the page you’d like to be your students’ ‘Dashboard Page’ from the dropdown.

The rest of the pages defined in this section were automatically created if you used the Setup Wizard. You’ll probably want to leave the page slugs (like ‘edit-account’) as is.

User Information Options
Want to simplify log in for your users? Check ‘Disable Usernames’ to enable email address login.

NOTE: If you change these settings, you’ll want to regenerate thumbnails. It’s a good idea to install the FREE “Regenerate Thumbnails” plugin to accomplish this task.

Go to LifterLMS > Settings > “Integrations”

Enable bbPress or Buddypress integration by checking the box!

NOTE: Of course, you’ll have to install the free Core for either bbpress or Buddypress in order this setting to work. Do this from Plugins > Add New

Why enable bbPress? If you want your elearning site to include discussion forums, you’ll want to enable bbPress. The Lifter integration for bbPress will let you restrict forums to one or more Lifter Memberships.

Why enable Buddypress? If you want your elearning site to include robust social networking tools, you’ll want to enable Buddypress. The Lifter integration for Buddypress will add course-related goodies to the normal Buddypress profiles.
