Drip Feed

Lifter WordPress LMS Plugin has built-in support for content ‘drip.’ Both Courses and Lessons can be set to ‘drip’– in other words, be made available at a later date.

By default, Courses and Lessons are available immediately. In other words, drip is disabled.

Lifter WordPress LMS Plugin: Drip Lessons

To add ‘drip’ to a Lesson…

Go to Courses > Lessons > [Click on the Lesson Title] > “Lesson Settings” > “Drip Settings”

Choose one of these options from the dropdown:

  • Available on a specific date
  • Available # of days after enrollment in the course
  • Available # of days after start date

Complete fields required for the option you select.

When finished, click ‘Update,’ ‘Publish’ or ‘Save Draft.’

Lifter WordPress LMS Plugin: Drip Courses

You can ‘drip’ courses themselves as well. However, the settings to do so aren’t called ‘Drip Settings.’ Instead they are ‘Restriction’ settings.

To add ‘drip’ to a Course…
Go to Courses > [Click on the Course Title] > “Course Options” > “Restrictions”

By default, Courses are available immediately when published.

To set registration start and end dates for a Course…

  • Click ‘Enable Enrollment Period’ checkbox
  • Click in ‘Enrollment Start Date’ and ‘Enrollment End Date’ fields to select a date for each from the calendar

To make a Course available to view only during certain dates…

  • Click ‘Enable Course Time Period’ checkbox
  • Click in ‘Course Start Date’ and ‘Course End Date’ fields to select a date for each from the calendar

When finished, click ‘Update,’ ‘Publish’ or ‘Save Draft.’

Lifter WordPress LMS Plugin: Drip with Prerequisites

To make a Course or Lesson only available after another is complete, see the Lifter Documentation on ‘Prerequisites.’
